Show Off Your Herd As A Stud Cattle Exhibitor
An exciting inclusion in the Northern Beef Producers Expo, is the Stud Cattle Exhibitions. Stud Cattle were first included in the 2017 NBPE and has continued to grow in popularity since it’s inception. It is a great way for graziers and people a-like to showcase their stud at a community event.
2023 saw 16 individual studs exhibit their cattle at the event, representing 9 different breeds of cattle. Vendors are coming back each year due to the great exposure they receive with the event providing great access to northern beef industry clientele.
Stud Cattle Exhibitor Information
The Stud Cattle sites will be located at the Charters Towers Saleyards and Equestrian Centre adjacent to the main Trade Exhibitor Arena. Please note there are two sections of Stud Cattle Sites, Zone A (located within the main Trade Display Arena) and Zone B (located in permanent yards adjacent Trade Display Arena). Zone A – Located within the Main Trade Display Arena
Each individual stud cattle site within Zone A is a 12m x 12m site. Stud Exhibitors who display within Zone A will be required to supply their own:
- Portable panels (a laneway will provide access to each site)
- Water troughs, and hose for getting water to pen
- Shade
Each 12m x 12m site will be clearly identified and marked out on the ground. Exhibitors will be required to keep their set up within their allotted area. It will be up to the discretion of each exhibitor how they set up their allocated site.
Zone A benefits include being located within the main Trade Display Arena and having the ability to customize your site for a more appealing display.
Zone B – Located in Permanent Yards adjacent Trade Display Arena
Each individual stud cattle site within Zone B is a 6m x 24m site compromising of two permanent yards (each yard is 6mx12m).
Please note that the entirety of each stud cattle display must be within the designated area allocated to each exhibitor. It will be up to the discretion of each exhibitor how they set up their allocated site however it is recommended that one yard be used for cattle and the second yard be used for display materials. If the exhibitor wishes to use portable panels to split their pens they may do so at their own discretion. All exhibitors will be required to supply all equipment for their display.
One concrete watering trough will be available per site. This trough may be shared with another stud cattle exhibitor’s site.
Stud Cattle Exhibitors who display within Zone B will be required to supply their own:
- Portable panels should they wish to split their yard
- Additional water troughs
- Additional Shade
Zone B benefits include having steel, permanent yards to utilize for display. The yards are surrounded by African Mahogany trees and provide excellent shade. Zone B is a quieter area for livestock however still receives plenty of foot traffic and signage to the area.
